Authorities in Newark request the public’s help in identifying three suspects and locating the vehicle that they drove away in after assaulting a victim during a robbery on May 31.Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said the robbery occurred at approximately 3:41 a.m. in the 400 block of N. 5th Street when the suspects – two men and a woman - struck the victim with a metal pipe in his head and face, and on his back and arm.
After the attack, the suspects took the victim’s iPhone, $700, and fled in the vehicle, a silver 2006 Honda Ridgeline pickup truck bearing New Jersey license plate P97RBZ, officials said.
Officials say the four-door vehicle was seen in Clifton but frequent Clifton Avenue in Newark and Washington Avenue in Belleville.
It also has been listed as a felony vehicle (VIN # - 2HJYK165X6H504528), authorities say.
