Authorities in Newark have arrested Quasim McRae, 23, of Newark, for a robbery that occurred in Mid-February in the city.
According to Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose, at approximately 10:25 p.m., police responded to 1st and Orange Streets on a robbery call.
A 26-year old man was robbed by two armed suspects who stole his wallet and personal items Director Ambrose said.
Detectives developed evidence that Quasim McRae is a suspect in this robbery and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Detectives arrested McRae yesterday in East Orange and charged with Robbery, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
These charges are merely accusations.
The suspect is assumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
