This afternoon, Steve Castleton, the New York Jets Military/Law Enforcement Liaison Representative, came to Linden City Hall to present the Mayor of Linden and the Linden Police Department with an invitation to the December 5th Jets home game, honoring first responders.
Castleton brought NY Jets hats for the four hero officers involved in the September 19th shootout with bombing suspect Ahmad Rahimi.
He also presented the Linden mayor and the Police Department with an autographed Jets football signed by defensive lineman and Linden resident, Muhammad Wilkerson. Wilkerson signed the football, “Thanks for Keeping Us Safe”.
Castleton told the audience that the honored officers will emerge from the tunnel at the beginning of the game following a contingent of NJ State Police motorcycles and will be accompanied by other first responders.
Castleton added that the Jets owner, Woody Johnson, is a big supporter of law enforcement and the military and congratulated the officers on behalf of the Jets organization.
