Authorities in Middlesex County announced that a 26-year-old man has been charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Vincent stated an investigation by Detective Lauren Leyva of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and Detective Bill Coleman of the New Brunswick Police Department revealed that Dwany Cruz, 26, of New Brunswick, had inappropriate explicit contact with a minor on several occasions.
According to officials, this occurred while employed as a Recreation Assistant at a summer program in New Brunswick.
Officials said that on August 15, Cruz surrendered to the New Brunswick Police Department and was charged with third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
The investigation is active and continuing.
