Middlesex County officials announced that a New Brunswick man has been arrested and charged with the killing of another man who he fatally struck with a vehicle yesterday afternoon.
Police said Mr. Leovigildo Comisario-Salazar, 32, of New Brunswick was arrested and charged with Vehicular Homicide and Driving While Intoxicated following an investigation by Officer Daniel Mosakowski of the Monroe Police Department and Detective Jonathan Berman of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
The investigationdetermined that, at approximately 4:08 P.M.,Comisario-Salazar was operating a commercial truck at 433 Schoolhouse Road when he struck and killed his coworker Pedro Lopez Lopez, 33, of New Brunswick.
Comisario-Salazar was charged with being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
