Authorities in Middlesex County announced that a homicide is under investigation.
Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Director Anthony A. Caputo of the New Brunswick Police Department stated that on October 31, at approximately 9:12 a.m., authorities responded to Juliet Street after receiving the report that there were two injured people.
Upon their arrival, officials stated officers located two victims.
According to officials, the victims were a female who had succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene and a male who has been transported to the hospital where he will be treated for his injuries.
Authorities say an initial investigation has revealed that this does not appear to be a random act of violence, and there does not appear to be a threat to the public.
