Police broke up a dispute between neighbors in a section of Newark's North Ward Monday evening.
According to reports, officers were dispatched to the area of 136 2nd Avenue to investigate reports of a large fight shortly before 5:30 p.m.
Police arrived and observed several individuals engaged in a dispute, with some fighting at that location.
EMS units were called to the scene for non-life-threatening injuries while police took a least one person in custody after trying to alleviate the encounter.
Police believe the incident was a dispute among neighbors that turned physical.
