Multiple Stabbings Reported Around Newark

Authorities in Newark are investigating several stabbings that has occurred around the city on Sunday that sent several victims to the hospital.

A physical fight that broke out at an address in the 100 block of 4th Avenue had police on the scene at around 8:30 a.m. where they requested EMS for at least two people suffering non-life threatening stab injuries according to preliminary reports.

EMS transported the injured to University Hospital where they received treatment. Newark Police are investigating.

In another incident, police rushed to the Kentucky Fried Chicken, that's located on Park Avenue at 5th Street, shortly before 2 p.m. where arriving officers found a male victim suffering a stab wound to the back according to reports.

EMS rushed the victim to University Hospital where he is expected to survive.

Police set up a crime scene at the restaurant where they temporarily closed the establishment for the investigation.

There were no immediate reports of arrests made.

We received two **unconfirmed** stabbing reports that occurred in separate locations. According to reports, at 12:17 a.m., police were called to the Riviera Hotel located in the 100 block of Clinton Avenue where EMS were asked to respond for a person stabbed at that location. The extent of the victim's injuries are unknown.

In the second **unconfirmed** incident, police responded to the 700 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard for reports of a person suffering a stab injury to the abdomen shortly 6:30 p.m. According to reports, the victim was rushed to University Hospital in an unknown condition.

We reported an early Sunday morning stabbing that sent two victims to the hospital in Newark's East Ward.

Newark Police officials confirmed that the victim's injuries were non-life-threatening.
