There were serious injuries reported after a taxi cab struck multiple people in Linden overnight.
The incident happened at approximately 11:20 pm in the area of East Elizabeth Avenue and Park Avenue sending emergency responders to the scene where they found three people suffering various injuries after the taxi cab (a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria) struck them.
EMS units transported the victims to University Hospital in Newark all in stable condition according to reports.
The driver of the taxi was also taken to University Hospital for evaluation reports said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
There were no arrests made.
UPDATE: 8:45 a.m. - The victims struck by the vehicle were described as three Linden females, ages 15, 18 and 19. The driver of the vehicle, a 55-year-old Roselle man, was issued a summons for careless driving and released.
