EMS transported about seven victims to area hospitals after a high-speed pursuit originating out of Clark, ended in a crash that involved several vehicles on a street in Rahway.
The early Sunday morning mass casualty crash happened at around 1 a.m. in the vicinity of St. Georges and West Grand avenues where EMS from several municipalities arrived and found three badly damaged vehicles and seriously injured occupants.
According to initial reports, police were engaged in an investigation of a possible gas station robbery at the Exxon in Clark when they located the suspect car involved in the incident and tried to pull it over.
The driver of the car ignored the officer's lights and sirens then sped away, ending in the violent Rahway car crash.
Due to the lengthy investigation, Clark Police officials have not released information on the crash at this time.
