There is an active investigation underway near the Elizabeth Train Station after authorities have located a backpack that contained several bombs inside.
An intense investigation led police to the train station late last night after devices that appeared to be bombs were found by several men in the area according to Elizabeth's Mayor Chris Bollwage.

Bomb technicians from the Union County Bomb Squad confirmed that as many as five devices found were bombs.
Authorities have not confirmed, as of 4:30 a.m., that any of the bombs unexpectedly exploded during their investigation.
The Northeast Corridor train line is suspended in both directions for the morning commute until further notice.
**UPDATE 5:31 a.m. All train service has resumed with delays expected.**
UPDATE 6:18 a.m. There is heavy police presence near a building in the 100 block of Elmora. Please avoid the area for the investigation.
There have been no arrests reported.
