Early Tuesday morning, police in Union and Bergen Counties launched investigations into a string of armed robberies believed to be connected.The spree began at 2:30 a.m. at the Shell gas station on Paterson Avenue, where two black males, armed and wearing surgical masks along with dark clothing, robbed the station.
They reportedly fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in a grey vehicle.
Shortly thereafter, at 3 a.m., the same suspects allegedly targeted the Power Gas Station on Vauxhall Road in Union, employing similar methods and escaping with additional proceeds.
According to reports, by 3:15 a.m., Hillside Police were alerted to another robbery involving the same suspects at the Power Gas Station on US-22.
Fortunately, no physical injuries were reported in any of the incidents.Authorities are still searching for the suspects and have issued a Be On the Lookout (BOLO) alert across the North Jersey region as the investigation continues.
