Police in Newark are investigating a multi-car collision that happened on a highway in Newark's North Ward Saturday.
According to preliminary reports, the collision involved about five vehicles on McCarter Highway just past 3rd Avenue around 3:10 a.m.
Police arrived to find the damaged vehicles with on overturned.
Several victims were transported to the hospital, but there were no reports of life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
