Multi-Agency Search for Missing Paddle Boater in Kittatinny Lake Paused Until Morning

A major search operation was launched Friday evening after reports that a person fell off a paddle boat in Kittatinny Lake.AdAuthorities responded to the incident, including teams from Morris County, Wyckoff, Dingman's Ferry, Parsippany Rescue and Recovery, and the NJ State Police Marine Unit.

Initial reports indicated that the operation began shortly before 6:45 p.m. following multiple distress calls reported from the East Shore Trail area of the lake.

Despite several hours of extensive searching, the teams were unable to locate the individual. As darkness fell, the difficult decision was made to pause the search efforts until morning.AdAs of now, no further information has been released regarding the missing person's status, and the incident remains under active investigation.

Authorities are urging the public to avoid the area to allow rescue teams to perform their duties efficiently once the search resumes.
