A motorcyclist sustained severe injuries in a crash that occurred near the intersection of Demott Lane and Easton Avenue in Franklin Township shortly before 12:40 a.m.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the motorcyclist unconscious and unresponsive following the crash.
According to reports, first responders administered CPR to the unidentified victim before transporting them to a local hospital for urgent medical care.
The extent of the injuries remains undisclosed as the victim continues to receive treatment.
In response to the accident, police closed Easton Avenue from Willow Road to Demott Lane to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office has been notified and is involved in overseeing the investigation.
