Bergen County authorities are investigating a severe crash that left a motorcyclist critically injured on a busy section of NJ-17 in East Rutherford on Saturday night.
At approximately 9:20 p.m., emergency responders and rescue crews were dispatched to the southbound lanes of NJ-17 after multiple 911 calls reported a crash with a person lying in the roadway.
Upon arrival, police temporarily closed part of the highway after locating the motorcyclist, who had been ejected from the bike and was reportedly found in the center lane.
The unidentified motorcyclist was rushed to a nearby hospital, where they remain under medical care.
No other injuries were reported, and the cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
