The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office had joined the investigation into a crash that left a motorcyclist dead on a highway in Wayne Township Friday.
Police say at approximately 9:20 p.m., emergency responders rushed to the southbound lanes of 1810 Route 23 to investigate reports of a collision.
Upon arrival, police found a severely injured motorcyclist ejected from the bike at that location.
The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police temporarily closed all southbound lanes for the investigation.
There were no other injuries reported and the cause of the crash has not been determined at this time.
