The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist in Newark’s Central Ward earlier today.
County officials said the incident occurred in the area of Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. and Eagles Pkwy.
According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, police and EMS were dispatched to the intersection after receiving calls of a crash.
Upon arrival, police found a passenger vehicle involved in a collision with a motorcycle. The rider was ejected from the bike and severely injured.
County officials confirmed that the unidentified male was pronounced dead and no other serious injuries were reported.
The investigation into what caused the wreck is under an active and ongoing investigation.
