Newark Police are looking into a shooting incident that took place in the Central Ward early Sunday morning.
It unfolded around 6:15 a.m. on the 20's block of Livingston Street.
Rapid notification to the police was ensured by a ShotSpotter device, which immediately activated upon detecting the gunfire.
Responding officers swiftly arrived at the scene, and while they discovered evidence confirming a shooting near a housing complex, no injuries were reported.
As the investigation continues, officials have yet to make any arrests in connection with the incident.
