There is an active investigation underway regarding a threat made to a public building in Essex County on Sunday.At approximately 3:59 p.m., the Montclair Police Department responded to a bomb threat called in by an official of the Montclair Public Library, located at 50 South Fullerton Avenue.
Montclair Police said the threat, which was delivered via email, mentioned three locations: 50 and 40 South Fullerton Avenue and 185 Bellevue Avenue.
While both the Bellevue Avenue Public Library and 40 South Fullerton Avenue were closed at the time, 50 South Fullerton Avenue was evacuated as a precaution.
The Essex County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Units conducted sweeps of all three locations for any explosive devices.As of now, no devices have been found.
This incident remains under active investigation, with authorities committed to resolving the situation.
No further information was available from Montclair Police officials.
