Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Chief Michael Lloyd of the Monroe Police Department announced that a dentist was arrested today and charged with improper sexual contact with three of his female employees at his Monroe office.
According to authorities, Dr. Richard Goldberg, 47, of the Morganville section of Monmouth County was charged with three counts of criminal sexual contact in the fourth degree and one count of endangering the welfare of a child in the third degree.
The defendant was arrested and charged during an investigation by Detective Brian Dziomba of the Monroe Police Department and Detective Mark Morris of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Officials say an investigation determined that from July 2016 through August 2018, Goldberg on multiple occasions improperly touched three of his female employees, one of which was 17 years old when the acts started. This contact took place during normal working hours at his Monroe office located on Spotswood Englishtown Road.
The investigation is active and is continuing.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Dziomba (732) 721-0222 ext. 147 or Detective Morris at (732) 745-4194.
Officials say Goldberg is scheduled for his initial court appearance in New Brunswick Superior Court on September 13th.
As is the case with all criminal defendants, the charges against Goldberg are merely accusations and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
