After a splendid Sunday that felt like a preview of spring, Newark and North Jersey residents are waking up to slightly cooler temperatures and cloudy skies on Monday.
Despite the change in weather, the region is starting off the day at a comfortable 51 degrees at 4:30 a.m.
While yesterday's sunshine may be hard to beat, today's forecast still promises relatively mild conditions.
According to The National Weather Service, patchy fog is expected to dissipate by mid-morning, giving way to partly sunny skies with a high near 64.
A gentle north wind of 6 to 8 mph will provide a pleasant breeze throughout the day.
As the day progresses into the evening, NWS meteorologists say the clouds are forecasted to linger, resulting in mostly cloudy conditions with a low of around 47 degrees.
Although the scenery may not be as picturesque as Sunday, the weather remains comfortable, offering residents an enjoyable day despite the overcast skies.
