Newark's Public Safety Director, Fritz G. Fragé, is calling on the public to assist in the search for a missing individual, Leo Abara, a 33-year-old resident of Newark.
Mr. Abara was reported missing on Saturday, July 29.
Authorities said Mr. Abara, who is living with schizophrenia, was last seen around 6 p.m. in the vicinity of South 17th Street's 400 block.
He is said to be 5'6" tall with a dark brown complexion.
At the time of his disappearance, police say he wore a black shirt, black trousers, yellow Fila sneakers and was carrying a black backpack.
The police are urging anyone with details about Leo Abara's location to contact the Police Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
The authorities assure that all tips received through Crime Stoppers will remain confidential and could potentially lead to a reward.
