Newark – Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Newark Police Director Eugene Venable announced today that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force and the Newark Police Department are investigating the death of Patricia Hiciano, 37, of Newark.
The mother of four was reported missing last week. On Saturday afternoon her body was found in an apartment in the 900 block of South 20th Street. The cause and manner of death are pending a determination by the Regional Medical Examiner.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
