Missing Autistic Boy from Elizabeth Found in Linden

An autistic child reported missing last night from Elizabeth was found this morning in Linden.

The search for David began around 9 p.m. last night lasting throughout the night, according to police.

Elizabeth Police Department along with Union County Prosecutor's Office, Union County Police, Union County Sheriff's Department, State Police Missing Persons Unit, NJ Transit Police, Port Authority Police and CSX Railroad Police brought in K-9 units from Union and Essex county to assists in the search.

According to reports, Elizabeth Officer Howard Decker saw David walking on Hollywood Road and West St. George Avenue in Linden as he was on his way home from work.

David was taken to Trinitas Hospital as a precaution.

A press conference was scheduled for 10 a.m. today with the Bardales's family, but was cancelled shortly after the child was found safe.
