The Newark and the North Jersey region can enjoy one more day of pleasant weather as Thursday brings partly sunny skies with a high near 74.
According to The National Weather Service, keeping an umbrella handy is advisable, as there's a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly expected after 3 p.m.
A south-southwest wind of 10 to 15 mph might provide a gentle breeze.
Thursday night, the chances of showers and thunderstorms increase to 50 percent, mainly before midnight. Expect partly cloudy skies with a low of around 55.
While today may be the nicest day of the week, it's prudent to prepare for some wet weather as the week progresses.
Tomorrow's forecast suggests deteriorating conditions, with rain expected to continue into the weekend, although Saturday doesn't appear to be a complete washout.
