Mild Morning in Newark as Breezy Conditions Persist Ahead of Thursday Rain

Good morning, New Jersey! As we start the day in Newark, temperatures sit at a mild 50 degrees under mostly cloudy skies.supportThe National Weather Service forecasts a dry and breezy Monday, with fire risks persisting in the region due to the lack of rainfall.

Relief, however, is on the horizon, as a soaking rain is expected to move into the area on Thursday.  

For now, expect a partly sunny morning that will transition to clear skies later in the day.

Temperatures will peak near 66 degrees, a slight warm-up from the weekend. Northwest winds will pick up to 6–13 mph, with gusts reaching up to 26 mph.  

As we head into the evening, skies will remain mostly clear, and temperatures will dip to a cool 44 degrees.  

It’s a calm start to the week, but as the morning progresses, be prepared for a breezier day.
