According to Middlesex County officials, the “Slow Down in Our Town” program brings together residents, local law enforcement, and County officials to implement a multi-faceted approach to traffic safety.

Key elements of the initiative include:

  • Lawn Sign Campaign: Eye-catching lawn signs placed in targeted neighborhoods to remind drivers to slow down.
  • Radar Speed Notification Signs: Implemented by local police to alert motorists of their speed.
  • Community Training: Local residents are trained to assist law enforcement by reporting speeding incidents, including vehicle descriptions and times of occurrence.
