Mercer County officials are searching for a suspect involved in an overnight shooting that left a man injured in Trenton.
According to police, the incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. in the 20s block of Wood Avenue.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire and, upon arrival, discovered shell casings and a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency responders transported the victim to a regional trauma center, where he is listed in serious but stable condition.
The shooter fled the scene before police arrived and remains at large.
No additional injuries were reported.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident and urge anyone with information to contact law enforcement.
