Two Linden men accused of assaulting and stealing a Linden man's tuxedo among other belongings have been arrested, according to police.
On May 25, a 19-year-old Linden man reported to police that he was assaulted by two acquaintances who stole his rented tuxedo for a prom, an Apple iPhone, and his wallet.
The victim attempted to follow the two men but when they realized they were being followed he was struck in the face by the suspects, causing a laceration to his forehead.
Detective Kenneth Mikolajczyk took over the investigation and obtained arrest warrants for Kobe K. West, and Cameron Burns, both 18, of Linden.
West and Burns were arrested at their homes and brought to headquarters where they were charged with assault and theft.
They were each released on a summons pending a June 1st court date in municipal court.
The victim declined medical treatment.
