Police have identified the 23-year-old man who was killed early Monday morning on the Garden State Parkway.
According to police, emergency crews responded to mile marker 57.9 in Little Egg Harbor for a report of a crash sometime around 5 a.m.
Preliminary investigations revealed
Robert Kappus, of Hillsborough, was driving northbound on the Parkway when his Toyota Camry drifted off the highway and crashed into a tree.
Kappus was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two passengers traveling in Kappus' car, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
