According to New Jersey Lottery officials, the Mega Millions jackpot has surged past $300 million, reaching $303 million ahead of the next drawing on Tuesday, November 5. This marks the fourth-largest Mega Millions prize of the year, following a series of substantial wins in 2023.
In recent months, significant prizes have included an $800 million jackpot claimed by a Texas player on September 10 and a $560 million prize won in Illinois in June.
Earlier this year, a New Jersey ticket holder took home an impressive $1.13 billion in March.
The next drawing will take place on Friday, November 1, at 11:00 p.m. To be eligible, New Jersey players must buy their tickets by 10:45 p.m.
Mega Millions tickets cost $2 each, with the option to add the Megaplier for $1 more per play to boost non-jackpot prizes by up to five times.
Tickets are available in 47 jurisdictions across the U.S., with drawings held every Tuesday and Friday.
