On Wednesday, the Honorable East Orange Mayor Ted Green and Pure•Bred Foundation, founded by Emmett W. Murphy III, spent two hours handing out turkeys for the less fortunate.
According to officials, the event happened at the mayor's community center located at 120 Rhode Island Avenue from 3-5 p.m.
Mayor Ted Green wishes East Orange residents a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.
Pure•Bred Foundation representatives said the giveaway was a success and looked forward to other humanitarian events in East Orange.
