Maplewood Police are continuing to search for a suspect in connection to an assault and robbery that occurred on June 22 in Maplewood.
According to Maplewood Police Chief Jimmy DeVaul, the incident occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m. in front of the Maplewood Diner
DeVaul stated that a 22-year-old male, who was waiting at the bus stop in front of the Diner, was assaulted by two males and his wallet and backpack were taken.
According to police, the males fled on Chancellor Ave into Irvington following the robbery. The victim was then transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
