Two victims suffered injuries after a gunman fired shots in their direction, struck them in a Newark neighborhood Wednesday evening.
It happened around 6:55 p.m. in the vicinity of 182 North 12th Street.
Police say a man and a woman were taken to University Hospital suffering bullet wounds after they came under fire in that section of the city.
According to reports, the woman suffered a bullet wound in her back while the male was struck in his head.
Police announced no arrests and the motive for the attack is under investigation.
