A Monday evening strong armed robbery of a commercial establishment has police investigating in Newark.
Police responded to reports of a robbery in progress that happened at the MetroPCS store located in the 200 block of South Orange Ave. Monday at around 7 p.m.
The suspect reportedly entered the store and aggressively demanded cash from the register according to reports.
The man was given an unknown amount of cash before he fled the scene wearing a red hoodie with a baby carrier attached and blue jeans. The Hispanic male was not armed with a weapon and there was no baby inside the carrier reports said.
