Police in Newark requests the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an auto burglary that occurred on Saturday, April 20th.
Police say at approximately 6 a.m., a vehicle parked in the 100-block of Halsey Street was broken into by a man wearing a black du-rag, brown hooded jacket, blue jeans, white sneakers and a small fanny pack.
According to police, the suspect entered the vehicle then stole the victim’s wallet, cash and other personal property.
Detectives investigating the incident captured the suspect on surveillance images.
While police are actively searching for this suspect, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly identifying him.
