A $150,000.00 warrant has been issued for Edward Hankerson, a.k.a., Tony Hankerson, 65, of Newark, in connection with a sexual assault police said.
According to authorities, at approximately 11:30 a.m., on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 Newark Police responded to the intersection of Broad and Oriental streets where a victim reported that Hankerson had committed an act of sexual assault.
As part of their investigation, detectives developed evidence that Hankerson is a suspect in this incident authorities said.
While police are actively searching for this suspect, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from our streets.
This investigation is active and ongoing.
