Police in Newark requests the public’s assistance in identifying a potential suspect sought for questioning in connection with a shooting that occurred Saturday morning.
According to a statement released by Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose, shortly after 4:30 a.m., police responded to Georgia King Village on a call of an aggravated assault.
Director Ambrose said officers arrived to find a woman who said a man shot at her following a quarrel and physical altercation that occurred inside a residence.
According to Director Ambrose, detectives investigating the incident are seeking the public’s assistance in quickly locating the man so that they can question him about the incident.
