Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose reports that police arrested John F. Brown (left), 50, of Newark, for burglary in an incident that occurred yesterday.
According to police, at approximately 9:30 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 100-block of Lyons Avenue to a burglary call.
Police said two males broke into the residence and removed items from the home.
Police located one of the suspects, Mr. John F. Brown, inside the home and placed him under arrest.
Police charged Brown with Burglary, Criminal Mischief, and Conspiracy.
These charges are merely accusations. The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The investigation is ongoing as a second suspect, pictured below, remains at large.
