Authorities announced the arrest of a man wanted for a series of bank robberies around New Jersey including an attempted robbery at an Elizabeth bank.
According to a release from the FBI, Quentin Morales was wanted for his alleged involvement in at least five bank robberies and one attempted bank robbery, all occurring in northern New Jersey, since June of 2016.
In each robbery, Morales had allegedly waited in line for a teller to become available or walked right up to an available teller and presented them with a demand note. After receiving cash from the tellers, Morales would leave the bank, taking the demand note with him.
All but one of the robberies occurred between the hours of 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Among the banks Morales is suspected of being involved in are:
June 24, 2016 - Wells Fargo Bank located at 175 Passaic Avenue, Kearny, NJ
June 27, 2016 - Capital One Bank located at 911 S. Elmora Avenue, Elizabeth, NJ (attempt)
June 30, 2016 - Wells Fargo Bank located at 477 Boulevard, Kenilworth, NJ
July 6, 2016 - Wells Fargo Bank located at 201 N. Wood Avenue, Linden, NJ
July 13, 2016 - Wells Fargo Bank located at 1144 Main Avenue, Clifton, NJ
July 25, 2016 - Wells Fargo Bank located at 1057 Stuyvesant Avenue, Union, NJ
No immediate details were released as to where or circumstances surrounding Morales' arrest.
