A 23-year-old Newark man wanted for an aggravated assault that occurred on June 9, has been arrested.
According to police, at approximately 9:20 p.m. the day of the incident, a victim reported to Newark Police that a known male armed with a gun had verbally threatened her during a quarrel.
Detectives developed sufficient evidence to identify Isaac Outen as a suspect in this aggravated assault and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Police arrested Outen today without incident and charged him with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and terroristic threats.
These charges are merely accusations.
The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
