There is an active search for a suspect wanted for a least two early morning armed robberies that occurred in the city.
Police were called to the area of Communipaw Avenue and Park Avenue at around 4:30 a.m. on reports of an armed robbery in progress.
Crews arrived to the scene to find the victim who reported to authorities that a male suspect approached and took their cell phone at gunpoint before running from the area.
The suspect is described as a tall black male who was last seen wearing a dark colored hoodie and armed with a black handgun according to reports.
He is also wanted for an armed robbery that took place at around 4 a.m. about several blocks away, again pointing the weapon and taking iPhones from the victim.
There were no physical injuries reported.
