The victim of a shooting incident who entered a Linden motel injured overnight has authorities investigating.
According to preliminary reports, the male victim limped into the Benedict Motel that's located in the 400 block of West Edgar Road (1&9) shortly before 10 p.m. causing employees to contact police.
Arriving police and EMS found the victim suffering a gunshot wound to the leg reports said.
The victim was treated then transported to University Hospital in Newark where his injuries were not reported as life threatening.
Police are investigating a motive for the shooting.
There were no arrests immediately reported.
