Authorities in Newark are investigating a shooting incident that injured a male in the South Ward Saturday night.
Officials at Beth Israel Hospital on Lyons Avenue notified police when a male gunshot victim entered the emergency room and suffered a gunshot wound shortly before 10:30 p.m.
Police learned that the victim suffered his injury in the area of Aldine and Saint James.
The victim's injuries were considered non-life threatening.
Newark Police will handle the investigation and no arrests have been made.
