A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in Newark's Central Ward has police investigating.
The man, who is reported to be in his early 60's, was transported to University Hospital at around 7:30 p.m. after being hit by a vehicle in the 700 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard near Hopewell Baptist Church.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene according to reports.
The extent of the victim's injuries has not been released.
