Police are on the search for a man who fled the scene of an aggravated assault that occurred at a Seaside Heights motel this morning -Monday-.
According to preliminary reports, officers responded to reports of an assault in progress at the Sea Gardens Motel located in the single digit block of Boulevard at approximately 5:30 a.m.
Upon their arrival, officers found the victim suffering a laceration to the head with severe swelling after the suspect violently struck him in the head with a bottle reports said.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where medical personnel treated him for the injury.
The motive for the attack remains under investigation.
