Police in Newark are investigating a person struck by a bus in Newark's West Ward this afternoon.
Newark Police officials said just after 2:30 p.m. today, an adult male pedestrian was struck by a Coach USA #31 bus in the 900 block of South Orange Avenue near Stuyvesant.
Witnesses said the bus dragged the unidentified male a short distance before the driver noticed anything.
According to police, the victim is reportedly in critical condition.
NJ Transit does not operate the 31 Bus.
Police said the incident remains under investigation.
