The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating a fatal incident that occurred earlier today in an East Orange apartment.
Authorities responded to reports of a physical confrontation at a building in the 500 block of Main Street, across from the Shop Rite complex.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a man in his early 50s suffering from stab wounds.
The victim was pronounced dead, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
The altercation, which appears to have been domestic in nature, involved two males, though further details about the confrontation have not been released by authorities.
The identity of the victim will be withheld until family members are notified.
