Detectives in Newark are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect **wanted for questioning** regarding an assault that occurred on Wednesday, June 28, 2017.
According to police, at approximately 5:11 p.m., police were dispatched to an assault in progress in the 800-block of Broad Street.
Upon officers arrival, the 23-year-old victim reported that two males committed the assault after a dispute before fleeing from the scene.
Police said the victim refused medical treatment but later arrived at Saint Michael’s Medical Center for treatment for a minor injury before being released by doctors.
